The Ormond community is chiefly made up of students, tutors and academics, who come to us from different backgrounds, countries and cultures.

The wider College community includes alumni, members of Council and non resident staff.

With up to 350 resident members, the College offers a wide range of outlooks and perspectives, which make for a vibrant community with enormously varied interests.

All students are enrolled at the University of Melbourne, including the Victorian College of the Arts.

To ensure that the College's value of diversity is realised, undergraduate students are selected from metropolitan and rural Victoria, interstate and overseas.

The Senior Common Room (tutors and academics) reflects diversity in its population also. Throughout the year visiting resident academics from around the world enrich the residential experience by contributing to the academic and cultural life of the College.
