Apply
Undergraduates
Students may apply for an undergraduate place at Ormond during their final year of secondary school, or at any time during their undergraduate degree.
Application Process
- Complete the Intercollegiate online application, placing Ormond as your first preference.
- Supply the supporting documentation requested following your application (passport photos, application fee and school reports/university transcripts).
- Once the supporting documentation is received, your application will be reviewed. Suitable applicants will be offered a selection interview.
- Interviews are held with a senior member of the College. Interviews can be held in person, or over the telephone for students unable to attend an interview.
- Following the interview, you will need to fax or email your ENTER ranking* and University of Melbourne VTAC offer to the College as soon as they become available. (Usually, ENTER rankings are available in December, and VTAC offers are made in January.)
- Upon receipt of your VTAC offer, the College will contact you within 5 days to inform you whether you have been offered a place at the College. You will have a short window (usually 24 hours) to accept your offer. Note that the College will not make you an offer in 2010 without confirmation of a VTAC offer from the University of Melbourne.
- If your application is unsuccessful, your application will be forwarded to the Intercollegiate Pool (if you have indicated preferences.)
Undergraduate applications for Semester 1, 2010 close on Friday, December 4, 2009.
*If you do not receive an ENTER ranking, you will need to provide the College with a converted ENTER ranking or, if this is not possible, your raw matriculation ranking.
