In the last week of the mid year semester break the lodge is booked out to Ormond students who can enjoy Student Ski Week with their peers. Residents of Ormond are eligible to join the Ormond Ski Club which has a lodge at Mt Hotham. This lodge was built in the ‘60s by Ormond students, and has provided the opportunity for relatively inexpensive skiing holidays for many present and past Ormond residents over the years.
