All Ormond students are members of the Students’ Club. The Club organises a wide variety of cultural, recreational, sporting and community-based activities to cater for the diverse interests of Ormond residents. Life at Ormond is distinguished by the quality of the involvement of students in the life of the College, through the Club.
The diversity of abilities and interests among the students informs the Students’ Club’s calendar from year to year, and opportunities always exist for new ideas alongside traditional, established events. Students are involved in the Club from their first year at Ormond and take advantage of the extensive opportunities to get involved in the many aspects of its life. Getting involved is only limited by your imagination!
The Club is led by the General Committee (GC) and contains over 20 subcommittes which oversee various aspects of student life. Office bearers are elected at the end of each year by the student population. Subcommittees in 2009 included:
In addition to the subcommittees, the Club also organises intercollegiate sports teams through the male and female Sports Reps and team captains.
