2017 Annual Giving
Make a Difference
"Being able to be part of Ormond has nurtured me through the enormous lifestyle adjustments which university demanded. Once I found my feet, the academic stimulation and extracurricular offerings available here have fed my passion and continued the momentum. Being part of this community has changed my life."
Lars Hennicke (2015)
Having sustained support makes a real difference to Ormond and its students.
This year we will continue our focus on the funding of scholarships to keep Ormond accessible and our ongoing commitment to the maintenance of our heritage buildings. Our special initiatives for this year are:
Access Scholarship - The Access Scholarship will create a pathway for exceptional students to make sure that their financial circumstance are never a barrier to realise their potential. For many of these students financial support from Ormond may be the only way they can attend University. It is inspriring to see what these students have achieved through their secondary schooling, please join with us to provide a life changing opportunity for them.
Other scholarships you can support are:
- The Hugh Collins Government School Scholarship
- Pompey Elliott Rural Scholarship
- Indigenous Scholarships
- General Scholarships
Dining Hall Roof Restoration - The Dining Hall is a very special place for all Ormondians and has always been the centre of College life. This year, we are focusing on the restoration of the slate roof, which needs urgent attention - work will commence on the restoration project soon. In recent years, as a result of the generosity of our alumni and our community we have been able to raise funds to restore the Vestibule entrance, Main Building stone and Picken Lawn. This year we are looking for your support to help begin the restoration of part of the Dining Hall we rarely see but is critical to the preservation of the building.
In 2017 we invite you to give generously to make a difference to our College and the lives of Ormond students. Your support is very much appreciated.
