Supporting Ormond
Scholarships

Diversity and open entry are important hallmarks of the College. Over the years the endowment of scholarships and bursaries has been vital in providing for a more diverse community and enriching the residential collegiate experience for generations of students.

An education at Ormond College is a life-long gift. Since 1881 Ormond has been making a difference in the Australian community. Providing named scholarships to outstanding students will ensure Ormond can make the Ormond experience available to the very best students regardless of means. By becoming involved with Ormond, you make an investment in young people which has positive outcomes for Australian society as a whole.

An important component of our philanthropic programs is the raising of funds for Scholarships and Bursaries to support the College's continuing commitment to a diversity of students at Ormond.

The College seeks to attract and retain students of high achievement on both merit and equity grounds.

In addition to increasing our general scholarship funds, the College aims to establish new major scholarships which will help attract and support our diverse student body. These funds will be for students from:

  • rural and regional Australia
  • indigenous students
  • students from government schools and other low-fee schools
