Living at college offers an incredibly unique opportunity. The appeal of Ormond College is residing in a community that celebrates a diverse range of activities, which complement my academic studies, and allows me to embrace a more holistic education.
Ormond encourages me to try new activities, stretch my comfort zone and have robust discussions on a variety of topics. I have been part of musicals, in sports teams, had the chance to challenge my opinions and listen to incredible speakers, hone my leadership skills and take part in a variety of other activities.
The academic support that I have received at college is phenomenal. I have extra tutorials for each of the subjects that I take at university as well as private consults and meetings with academic advisers when necessary.
Additionally, the financial support that Ormond offers makes the incredible opportunities more accessible for everyone, regardless of their financial position.
What I love most about college is that it truly becomes a second home for many. The values based and primarily student run community at Ormond allows me to shape my college experience, whilst still providing an exceptionally supportive that encourages me to strive for my best.
Ormond has become my second home after moving to Melbourne from Canberra and I would definitely encourage anyone who is considering college to apply to be an Ormondian.
